This processor is believed to be powered by a 64-bit quad-core Intel Core i3-6100U processor.
The processor is also rumored to be paired with an 8GB of RAM and 256GB of PCIe storage.
Intel is also planning to introduce the next generation Intel Core m processor, codenamed Core i9-7900X, which is said to have an 8-core CPU and 4GB of DDR4 memory.
The chip will also have a 64GB SSD slot, 4K video output and 802.11ac Wi-Fi.
Intel’s i7 CPUs are not only capable of delivering higher performance, but also higher prices.
This is not the first time that Intel has launched an i7 processor, however, the company has also launched an older, lower-end model of its i7 CPU with a price tag of $2,699.
