Asus has released the b450x370fw gaming notebook for $299, but you may want to consider getting one of its cheaper siblings for a little extra cash.
The Asus B450fw is the most affordable gaming laptop we’ve seen to date, and is a solid budget option with the ability to power up a decent gaming system for under $200.
While we don’t have the chance to test the full specs of the Asus B 450fw yet, it’s the cheapest option we’ve tested that’s been able to keep up with the latest gaming hardware.
The B450x 370fw comes with a pair of 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 graphics cards, a 256GB PCIe SSD, and a 32GB mSATA SSD.
The laptop has a 12.5-inch screen, a 1.2GHz Intel Core i5-7200U processor, and an 8GB RAM kit.
The B450 is only available in black, and the laptop comes in a silver version that ships with a matte finish.
We can’t verify if this is the same model as the Asus Gaming B450 gaming laptop.
In terms of the internals, the Asus b450 has a 6-cell battery with an average lifespan of 4,000 hours.
It features an aluminum back panel, a 16GB of RAM, an Intel Iris Pro Graphics 540, and 512GB of SSD storage.
The keyboard has a full-size, backlit trackpad, and there are no USB 3.0 ports.
The b450 uses a 1TB solid-state drive.
It’s not the cheapest laptop we could find with a quad-core CPU, but we think that price tag will be worthwhile for a gaming notebook that’s also a solid-feeling, low-cost alternative to the Asus X370.
We’re still waiting on a price for the Asus Z370, but the Asus Asus B350fw and Asus B550fw both ship with a Core i7-7700HQ processor and Intel Iris graphics.
If you want the lowest price on the list, you should look for the Z370 or the Asus Zenbook Z350f.
We tested the Asus z370 at an online retailer.
You can find it for $200 on Amazon for the Core i3-7100U or Core i9-7900HQ processors.
The Asus B850x370s comes in at $230 for a Core 2 Duo CPU with 4GB of DDR3L RAM, 256GB SSD storage, and 8GB of Intel Iris Graphics.
The Z370 also comes with 8GB SSD.
